Shower doors and bathroom glass
In older Fairfax and Loudoun homes we still see small tub surrounds that need a new door after tile work. Newer builds often want a frameless panel with a fixed side and a hinged door. Both need a template visit after tile and curb are done—measuring too early is the main reason glass has to be remade.
On that visit we check whether walls are plumb, how the curb drains, and what hardware finishes you already have (chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and so on). We carry common hinge and handle lines and can talk through bypass, pivot, or hinged layouts based on your opening width—not just what looks good in a catalog photo.
Office and storefront glass
Commercial jobs are a different schedule: we coordinate with your GC or facilities contact, protect floors and casework, and stage installs when the suite is actually ready. Partitions, entry doors, and interior glazing around Reston, Tysons, and Leesburg office parks are a regular part of our week.
If you are getting bids, compare lead time after approval, who handles field changes, and whether the installer is the same crew that did the site measure.
Typical timeline after we measure
For a standard shower door, expect roughly one to two weeks from template to install once glass is ordered—custom sizes, heavy glass, or busy seasons can add a few days. We do not order until you sign off on the layout and hardware choice.
Emergency board-ups and broken panel replacements are handled as fast as supplier stock allows; call (703) 861-7144 if you need same-week help.

Common questions
Does shower glass have to be tempered in Virginia?
Yes for shower doors and most panels in wet areas. We order tempered safety glass from our suppliers; county inspectors and permit rules can vary, so if your remodel is permitted we align with what your contractor needs on paperwork.
When should you template a shower door?
After tile, curb, and any niche work are finished and dry. We have remade doors when homeowners measured before the tile crew was done. A 20–30 minute site visit is usually enough.
Frameless or framed—which is better?
Frameless uses thicker glass and clips/hinges with less metal showing. Framed kits cost less and tolerate slightly out-of-plumb walls. We recommend based on your opening size, how much water you want contained, and the finish you picked for faucets and rods.
Do you install commercial glass near Fairfax and DC?
We do office partitions, door packages, and related interior glass on commercial schedules. Send plans or photos through the quote form and we will call to walk the site.
How do I get a price?
Use the quote form with photos if you have them, or call (703) 861-7144. Shower doors need a template before final price; ballpark ranges are hard without seeing the opening.
